How about a fun day of paddling?

You can rent a kayak and "GO Paddling."  You can rent one boat or our entire fleet for a day or a week!   Rentals include the boat, paddles and PFD.   Seatasea's rental fleet includes a variable selection of boats from Old Town, Necky, Wilderness Systems, Dagger, Perception and Hobie.  These include 12' recreational boats to 16' touring boats.  No two boats are the same.   We are sorry, but we do not rent our Hobie Mirage Kayaks. (However they are available to try at our demo event)

Below is our pricing for individual rentals, group rentals and group custom trips. 

Rental Policies

• A boat is considered any boat.  Specific models are available on a first-come-first-served basis.  We will not hold a model for you unless you reserve it with a credit card or payment.

• A day is considered..."a day", for example pick-up early am bring back the next am.  Pick up Saturday just before we close, you can bring it back Monday morning.

• Boat pick up and return is at the Seatasea Watersports Center retail center. 

• We do not provide transportation accessories, ie: Car top carriers, tiedowns, etc.  (but we have them available for sale if you need them and these can be used over and over)

• We are happy to help you lift your rental boat on your vehicle, however do to insurance and time constraint reasons we cannot help you tie it down or secure it.

• Due to the trips and demos we do, reservations (or at least call ahead) are really a good idea for boat rental to be assured availability.  Boat reservations may require a deposit or payment depending on quantity and availability. Deposits are non-refundable if boat reservation is canceled within 24 hours of the reservation. 

• Renters are responsible for any and all damages or loss of equipment rented

• If you "reserve" a boat or boats you will need to provide us with a credit card or payment in full to hold the reservation.  Cancellations are only allowed up to 5:30 the day prior to the rental.  Cancellations the day of due to inclement weather are allowed.  

Daily Boat Rental 

A boat rental includes the boat, (1) PFD(s) and (1) Paddle

     Kayak - $45 Day

     Kayak - Tandem ( 2 person) $60 day (includes 2 PFD's and 2 Paddles)

We have a total of approximately 19 boats available.  About 1/2 recreational and touring.

Group Rental

These are our general guidelines for group rentals. Other choices and options may be available and we are happy to work with you on designing your own custom paddling trip.  

     Less then 6  Boats -  Standard pricing  (trailer rental $30..local use only)

      6+ Boats - $40 - per boat (+ free local use of trailer as long as your insurance covers it!)

     12+ Boats = $38 per boat (+ free local use of trailer as long as your insurance covers it)

     Transportation -  (Drop off and Pick up by Seatasea)  (Max 14 paddlers)  Boat rentals are required, otherwise an additional $15 per paddler for if they bring own boat and we are transporting it.

     Cedar River:  Drop off at Palisades/Kepler.  Pick-Up at Palisades, Sutliff, Cedar Bluff, Cedar Valley or Riverside.  $150

     Wapsipinicon River:  Drop off at Troy Mills.  Pick-Up at Central City  (or close variations) $175    

Instructor/Guides 

We are sorry, but we do not provide Guides for trips.  We are happy to give you some basic instruction at the drop off site though.
