Seatasea PADI Divemaster Course  

Take the first step in your dive career and become a PADI Divemaster. Working closely with Seatasea PADI Instructors and professional staff,  you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

What can PADI Divemasters do?

  • Work at local dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts and at exotic resort locations
  • Assist PADI Instructors with students
  • Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours
  • Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers
  • Teach PADI Discover Snorkeling programs
  • Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers
  • Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences
  • Teach Emergency First Response programs after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course.

What do I need to start?

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or qualifying certification from another training organization
  • PADI Rescue Diver certification or qualifying certification from another training organization.
  • Medical clearance signed by a physician within the last 12 months
  • 40 logged dives (60 logged dives are required for certification)
  • Completed EFR Primary and Seconday Care within the last 24 months (This is a separate Course and will be offered)
  • 18 years old

What will I do?

  • Learn dive leadership through classroom, independent study sessions and computer e-Learning
  • Complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water
  • Complete Training exercises and scenarios to test organizational and problem solving abilties.

How do I start?

Seatasea offers the Divemaster course once a year with an initial introductory "GO PRO" meeting in late fall.  This meeting presents the first section of the Divemaster course and outlines the rest of the course requirements and timetable. The entire course is run through the winter months with at least 1 session per month and finishes up in May/June of the following year with our Open Water Dives.  Course scheduling is done as a group.  To register Register On-line, in-store on by the phone.  

Once registered we will order and prepare your course materials (allow at least 1 week to pick-up or receive) and you can start reviewing them and prepare for the Go Pro introductory meeting.  The PADI Divemaster eLearning course you can start any time.

Course Fees 

The Seatasea PADI Divemaster course includes academic, confined water and open water training. - Course Fee is $695 + tax and includes Instruction, Course materials, Air & weights.  Candidate will be required to complete the PADI e-learning Divemaster On-line course and this is separate and the cost is $200.  The Divemaster Candidate may also complete the PADI e-Learning Dive Theory On-line course ($100)  which will replace the second part of the Divemaster Final Exam and the Diving Knowledge Workbook.

eLearning Registration - To register for eLearning Courses go to eLearning at padi.com.  Insure that Seatasea is selected as your Dive Center.
