Seatasea's Paddle Trips down the Cedar River

Looking for a great day away from stress.  A Cedar River paddle trip with Seatasea is just for you.  Relax and enjoy one of the great scenic rivers that Iowa has to offer.  This is a full day trip which is great for a nice day of relaxation on the river. Paddlers meet at Seatasea Watersports Center at 8am and load up our van and drive to Palisades Park  Then a short paddling and safety briefing,  Paddlers gear up and launch the boats.  We stop at the Sutliff Bar for lunch (so bring a little cash) and we load back up at Cedar Bluff at around 4:30pm, load up the boats and ride back in the Seatasea van.

WHEN:  Meet at Seatasea ready to load up at 9am on the morning of the trip.

DRESS & THINGS TO BRING - some ideas about dress and also some things you may want to bring.  Please remember that things "could" get wet.

  • Dress comfortably with the plan that you "may" get a little wet.  Old sneakers or water shoes are a must. A pair of athletic pants and a windbreaker for colder times of year.  Some shorts and T's, etc for warmer weather. A hat or visor is a good idea.

  • Water bottle or beverage of your choice.  (we're sorry, but alcohol is not allowed on these trips)

  • Suntan lotion, bug repellent, sunglasses.

  • Camera (in water proof container or dry bag)

  • Anything you bring that could be ruined if wet...should be in some sort of dry bag. (we have good quality, heavy duty, reusable ones for sale at the store ($8.95 and up)

  • Munchies are welcome!
