center and PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) the
world’s largest and most popular professional diver training organization.

might think!
Seatasea Watersports, located in
Cedar Rapids, Iowa is a “full
service” PADI 5 Star Center. An elite diver training center of PADI! We offer a huge selection of diving
equipment and accessories along with scuba training courses, equipment rental,
equipment repair and diver vacation travel.

courses are taught using PADI diver training programs by a PADI certified
and insured Master Scuba Diver Trainers and Divemasters. We utilize the
most recent and the most state-of-the-art training and instructional
methods, taught in a new 900 square foot classroom and a local pool.

Everything except a swimsuit, towel, mask, fins and a snorkel is included in
our courses. All Books, Vid DVDs, Dive

REGISTER
TODAY AND LEARN TO DIVE...IT's EASY
1) Pick
your Part 1 date on our calendar and
register - on-line,
in-store or by telephone. You can also complete the
knowledge development portion of your training through
PADI eLearning However
the pool portion is completed with us.
2) At
registration, if you are completing the classroom knowledge
development with us, you will be given study materials that must
be completed prior to class. This includes reading a
manual and watching a DVD
3)
Show up for class! After you have completed the Part one
you will be 'signed off' that you are ready to complete Part 2 -
4 Open Water Dives. You can complete those with us or with
another PADI Training center.
KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT (Part
1) is completed either in
our classroom in a classroom setting or on-line using
PADI eLearning.
Our Classroom version Is completed at your own convenience, by reading the PADI
Open Water Diver Manual and the Open Water Diver
DVD. Classroom sessions are approximately 8 hours, held at Seatasea’s
classroom, and include a brief overview of the independent study modules, a
series of short quizzes, a review of areas you may have difficulty, information
on diving, diving adventures, local diving and a final exam.
PADI eLearning you
complete at your own pace, on-line and once completed you will
receive a certificate that you present to us to conduct your
confined water pool dives.
CONFINED WATER DIVES (Part 1)
Confined Water Dives (Pool Sessions) are conducted at a local
Cedar Rapids pool and are approximately 8 hours. This training
establishes the basic skills that all divers need (or may need in the unlikely
event of a problem) in a relatively low stress environment. It also reinforces
and supplements the Knowledge Development –Independent Study training by
practicing and applying what has been learned in the manual and videos.
OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION DIVES (Part 2)

We’ll make four scuba open water dives together during which
you’ll apply what you’ve learned, plus develop some new skills. Each dive is a
minimum 20 minutes in length with a maximum of three dives to be completed in
one day. These dives are completed in local lakes and quarries in
Wisconsin and are offered every month in the late spring through fall. If
you are planning a trip to a warmer climate, we can also give you a referral and
you can complete your PADI Open Water Certification Dives with another PADI
Training Center
